Progression is interesting.
A short story
Progression is interesting.
You can’t really measure it, so you make up some construct by which you make yourself feel better.
Or worse.
Brownie points if it’s a structure that is popular, with lots of people subscribing to it.
The more the merrier! Or not…
But misery loves company and validation looks funky at times.
Who would’ve thought that validating victim hood would provide some sort of control?
Holding on to a story gives the illusion of control; you think you know who you are when, really, you have cut yourself off from Divine Supply.
You stay small.
And you don’t even realize it.
It’s like going to Golden Corral Buffet your whole life and never realizing that Ruth Chris Steakhouse is in the same parking lot.
Or if you do realize it, you’ll have “valid” reasons for not going.
Usually ones others easily accept, thus letting you off the hook: “It’s too expensive,” “I’m fine with Golden Corral (what I have),” “I can’t because…” “My _____ said _____”
And that’s exactly why some people will never have more.
What happens if you do want more?
Be willing to change and do something you’ve never done before.
Like find a job in San Diego so you can live in Mexico.
